Growing up, Ernest was a fan of Jimmy Rodgers. His love for Jimmy’s music made him learn the guitar and other musical instruments. He also spent most of his free time singing and playing his guitar. At age nineteen, he worked as a singer for a local radio station. He quit the job later due to a low salary.
