Arnette Jens’s husband, an American actor, Anthony Jared Zerbe, was born on May 20, 1936. Since October 7, 1962, Zerbe has been wed to Arnette (sister of Salome Jens, an actress), with whom he has two children. Zerbe played the post-apocalyptic cult spearhead Matthias in the 1971 adaptation of Richard Matheson’s 1954 novel titled “I Am Legend”, The Omega Man, playing a Catholic coal miner and several others.
Arnette’s husband, Zerbe, the son of Catherine (née Scurlock) and Arthur LeVan Zerbe, was born in Long Beach, California. He attended Newport Harbor High. He graduated in 1958 from Pomona College in Claremont, California. His parents had attended Pomona College as well. From 1959 to 1961, he served in the U.S. Air Force.

Zerbe and Roscoe Lee Browne toured the United States in 1981 with Behind the Broken Words, a performance combining contemporary poetry, comedy, and drama. Zerbe was the past creative executive director of Reflections, A New Plays Festival at the Geva Theatre in Rochester, New York.
As Lieutenant K.C. Trench in the private eye drama Harry O, Zerbe earned an Emmy Award in 1976 for Outstanding Continuing Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He portrayed Benjamin Hubbard, the oldest brother, in a Broadway production of The Little Foxes in 1981.
