Who is Torray Scales?
Torray Scales is an American police officer who works for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Torray Scales is famous for marrying Irish singer, dancer, actor, and model Samantha Mumba. The couple married in 2011 after Samantha’s marriage with R&B singer Sisqo ended in 2005. The couple initially met at a nightclub in 2007 before getting engaged and Torray proposing on a beach in California. Torray Scales and Samantha gave birth to a daughter, Sage, in February of 2015, and the family lives together in L.A.
According to some sources, before the couple got married, Torray Scales, the fiancé of Irish singer Samantha Mumba, was rumoured to be having a covert liaison with Desiree Cortez, a Latina nurse. Scales kissed Cortez passionately in exclusive photos; Cortez has called Scales her “boyfriend.” Scales’ frequent visits to Cortez’s apartment were described by neighbours, throwing doubt on Mumba’s summertime engagement announcement. Neighbours found it strange that Scales was engaged to Mumba despite his apparent intense involvement with Cortez.
Torray Scales is a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department in America. As usual, law enforcement, upholding public order, and safeguarding the safety of Los Angeles citizens are the responsibilities of LAPD personnel. Besides the above information regarding his career, not much else is known.
Torray Scales has two children, one with Samantha Mumba and another, from a former relationship
Torray Scales and Samantha Mumba announced to the public that they were pregnant with their first child in September 2014. In February of 2015, after being pregnant for some months, something miraculous happened. She managed to escape unharmed from a three-car collision in Los Angeles.
She gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl on March 3, 2015, and Mumba and her husband Torray named her Sage. Sources also mention that Torray has a child from a previous relationship. Not a lot of details regarding the life of the couple’s daughter are known since they are trying to hide her from the media spotlight. Sage should be eight years old as of 2023.
Torray Scales’ Wife: Samantha Mumba
Torray Scales is married to Samantha Tamania Anne Cecilia Mumba, born on January 18, 1983. She is an Irish singer-songwriter, dancer, actor, fashion model, and television presenter. Ireland’s Dublin is home to Mumba, her birthplace. Her mother is Irish, while her father, Peter Mumba, was a Zambian who worked as an aviation engineer before passing away in March 2020.
Torray Scales’s wife, Samantha Mumba, was founded at the age of fifteen on a talent show hosted by Irish music producer Louis Walsh (manager of Boyzone and Westlife) on Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ–Radio Television Ireland). She was signed to Polydor Records after Walsh was intrigued by her talent. After that, Mumba moved across Denmark, Sweden, the U.K., and Ireland for many months, co-writing and recording her debut album, Gotta Tell You. She finally left school to concentrate on her music career, saying it was getting harder for her to continue her education while still working on her music.
When her debut single, “Gotta Tell You,” was released in 2000, she, then 17 years old, soared to popularity. It peaked at number five in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Since then, Billboard’s 100 Greatest Choruses of the 21st Century list has included it. Later that year, she released her self-titled album, which peaked at number four in Ireland and nine in the U.K.
In Ireland, she has seven top-five hits; in the U.K., she has six top-10 singles. In addition, Mumba pursued an acting career, making her screen debut in The Time Machine (2002) and several more Irish indie films. When she started performing again in 2013, she stated that a second album would be released in 2019; unfortunately, this never happened. Mumba released “Cool” and “Process” as singles in 2020 and “The Lie” as a follow-up in 2023.
Samantha Mumba, became the face of Reebok and started to feature in print advertisements for the Quest collection in the U.K. and Ireland shortly after the popularity of Gotta Tell You. Mumba was also viewed in the same period as the face of Louise Kennedy’s spring/summer collection.
She was chosen as the model for the World’s Most Expensive Dress in 2004. A £5 million diamond cobweb gown designed by Scott Henshall was displayed at the Spider-Man 2 London premiere. Soon after, she assumed the role of Dior ambassador and introduced the Dior Watch Collection to the Irish market. Mumba served as the model for the Ultimo Per Amore collection in 2005, which was only sold at the Dunnes Stores, an Irish network of main streets.
