Before the former couple’s union, Williams had wed Lorrie Mahaffey in 1978 while still appearing in Happy Days. They had an eight-year relationship in 1986 before things died off.

Jackie’s career path has yet to be discovered to the public. Some sources say she was in the movie industry like her former husband, Anson Williams. According to IMDb, Jackie Gerken was thanked for contributing to the 1988 comedy movie Earth Girls Are Easy, a comedy, romance and musical American movie which tells the story of how a girl from Southern California manages to befriend three furry aliens after their spaceship lands in her swimming pool. However, it is unclear which roles Jackie Gerken played or contributed.

Jackie’s ex-husband is best known for playing the gullible, well-intentioned singer Warren “Potsie” Weber on the television series Happy Days (1974–1984), for which he received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for the title Best Supporting Actor Series or Television Film.

Since then, Williams has established a strong reputation in the television industry, directing hit shows including Melrose Place (1992–1999), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000), Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996–2003), Lizzie McGuire (2001–2004), and The Secret Life of the American Teenager which was from 2008 to the year 2013.

In the 1972 episode of the comedy-anthology series Love, American Style titled “Love and the Happy Days,” Williams played Potsie Weber. This episode also featured the introduction of Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard), Richie’s mother Marion (Marion Ross), and other characters who would later appear in the television series Happy Days

Anson Williams, Howard, and Ross were the only actors to return to their roles. The first season of the new show was mostly focused on Richie and Potsie, with Williams receiving secondary billing to Howard. Eventually, Potsie was joined by Ralph Malph (Don Most, who was just a supporting character in season one), and Potsie and Ralph grew close as breakout character Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli (Henry Winkler) and Richie’s mother, father, and sister gained popularity.
