Who is Adjowa Hayes?

Adjowa Hayes is from Ghana, a country in West Africa that borders the Atlantic Ocean and has a population of about 31 million. It is known for its diverse wildlife, ancient forts, and cultural festivals. Isaac Hayes was crowned king of the Ada, Ghana region in 1992 for his many hours of humanitarian work there.

 Adjowa Hayes is best known for being the fourth and last wife of the late famous American singer and composer Isaac Hayes. The couple had been together from May 2005 to August 2008, when her husband had a stroke and died. Adjowa’s date of birth and many other personal details have yet to be discovered publicly.

Adjowa Hayes and Isaac Hayes had only one child

Adjowa Hayes and Isaac Hayes had one child together, a son born on April 10, 2006, named Nana Kwadjo Hayes. Significant meaning is attached to his name: Nana means “King,” and Kwadjo means “boy born on Monday.” The worst part is that Isaac only had a little over two years with his son (now nine years old) before he, unfortunately, died from a stroke in October 2008, 10 days before he turned 66. 

However, Isaac Hayes had fourteen kids overall; Felicia and Veronica were his two children from his first marriage to Dancy Hayes. Melanie Hayes, Vincent Hayes, and Nicole Hayes were his three children from his second marriage to Emily Ruth Watson. Heather Hayes and Isaac Hayes III are the two children he had with his third wife, Mignon Harley. Jackie, Lili, Darius, Nana, Osiris, and Dodie were among his other children from prior relationships.

Who was Isaac Hayes, Adjowa’s late husband?

Adjowa Haye’s husband, Isaac Lee Hayes Jr., was a singer, actor, and composer who lived from August 20, 1942 and died on August 10, 2008, with the cause being a stroke. With his partner David Porter in the middle of the 1960s, he was one of the creative driving forces behind the Southern soul music company Stax Records, working as a songwriter, musician, and record producer. Isaac Hayes and Porter were chosen for the Songwriters Hall of Fame 2005. Isaac Hayes was then acknowledged to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.

Adjowa’s Huband, Isaac Lee Hayes Jr., the second child of Eula (née Wade) and Isaac Hayes Sr., was born in Covington, Tennessee. Adjowa Hayes’ husband, Isaac Hayes, was brought up by his mother’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Wade Sr., after his father abandoned the family and his mother passed away when he was still a little child. Hayes grew up laboring on farms in the Tennessee counties of Shelby and Tipton as the offspring of a sharecropper family. Hayes started singing at his neighborhood church at the age of five. He also taught himself how to play the piano, Hammond organ, flute, and saxophone.

Fourteen children, 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren were born to Adjowa Hayes’s husband, Isaac Hayes. His first union, to Dancy Hayes, disintegrated in divorce in 1960. On November 24, 1965, he wed Emily Ruth Watson for the second time. In 1972, there was a divorce in this marriage. Melanie Hayes, Vincent Hayes, and Nicole Hayes were all offspring of this union. On April 18, 1973, he wed bank teller Mignon Harley; they were divorced in 1986 and had two kids. With a debt of more than $6 million, Hayes and his wife were ultimately driven into bankruptcy. Isaac Hayes was able to recoup his losses over time.

On April 10, 2006, his fourth wife, Adjowa, gave birth to a boy they called Nana Kwadjo Hayes. He also had a son, Isaac Hayes III, better known by the stage moniker Ike Dirty, to whom he donated his name. Hayes also had a daughter named Heather Hayes. His oldest daughter, Jackie, was chosen co-executor of his estate, and his other children were Veronica, Felicia, Melanie, Nikki, Lili, Darius, and Vincent.
